The Strawberry Farm at La Trinidad, Benguet

I was 8 years old when I had my first bite of this fruit. It's sweet and tangy and I just can't get enough of it. Too bad, my mom only brought a few pieces. So just imagine how elated I was when I saw a vendor selling this fruit while we were buying pasalubongs in Burnham Park. I bought a quarter of a kilo, grab a bite on one piece and boom! I was in nostalgic state again...

Contrary to what most of us believed, strawberries do not really originate in Baguio City but in it's nearby town: La Trinidad, Benguet. The trip from Baguio City to La Trinidad is estimated to last for an hour. If not for Judge's generous cousin, we probably have ended up with that one-hour ride :)

strawberry farm!
It's amazing to see these strawberries up close and personal. Taking care of these fruits is not easy especially with the unpredictable weather that Philippines is having right now. So to all dedicated farmers of this farm: I salute you!

Why you should visit the Strawberry Farm?
Aside from the amazing scenic view, you should drop by at the strawberry farm for its fresh and organic produce. Did you know that aside from strawberries, they're also offering lettuce and blueberries here? If you happen to love both of these, then this place is truly heaven for you! It is for me :)

putting into practice my haggling skill - hehe

    1. Hindi na, sayang nga eh. Actually the taho is just the typical taho tapos nilagyan na lang nila ng strawberry. It's unique though and 'yung strawberry syrup is not too sweet which is a good thing :)

    1. Try mo visit ang farm the next time magagawi ka sa Baguio :) Iba 'yung experience lalo na if nakita mo 'yung mga strawberries na hindi pa talaga hinaharvest.
