Tips for First Time Kneeboarders/Wakeboarders

If you've been itching to try kneeboarding or wakeboarding, then you might want to read this first before you do. Wakeboarding is a great hobby and sport. However, as first timers it might not end up well if you come unprepared for it.

Tip #1: Arrive early
It pays to be early. Arriving early on the wakeboarding park gives you ample time to ask your guide further questions. It also gives you more time to relax and prepare yourself in the water.

Tip #2: Pay attention to the provided orientation
Orientation will always be provided especially for first timers. Listen carefully to what the guide is saying and take note of the most important points.

Tip #3: Wear appropriate clothing
Expect to be submerged in the water during your first few tries. Thus, it's really important to wear appropriate clothes.

Light clothing is preferred. A rashguard is a good piece of clothing that you can have as its light enough to be worn in the water and at the same time, it can protect you from the harmful rays of the sun.

Tip #4: Do some stretching exercises beforehand
It was last year when I had my first time in kneeboarding. We were not able to do some stretching, thus, we end up with severe muscle pain.

Do yourself a favor especially if you have work the following day: stretch before you go kneeboarding or wakeboarding.

Tip #5: Don't forget to eat
It's hard to give your all when you're hungry so don't forget to load yourself with a good meal.

Before I end this post, let me share this video of my first time in kneeboarding:
